The Fine Print...

Even the smallest of soapy businesses must comply with claims and so much more, so I've tried to break it down into some not-so-fine print for some light reading if you're ever anxious to read the fine print on websites, which I'm sure no one ever is.

All of the below being said, its soap and hand made products! Who doesn't love fresh, handmade, local stuff that includes natural ingredients?!

The fine print (in not-so-fine print) from the person who makes the stuff:

These are all homemade products, they are all unique! Sizes and colours may not be identical every time.

Please be careful getting out of the tub after using items that have higher oil content! Oil + wet tubs = possible falls!

If you have any skin issues at all after using any of the items, obviously discontinue use immediately!

No medial claims of any kind are being made on any of the items sold! I've done my own research on the benefits of certain ingredients/plants, and I encourage you to do the same!

You're not going to leave your bar of soap in standing water and then get upset because its now squishy.

By purchasing items, you agree that you will take sole responsibility for any and all adverse effects that may occur and not hold Patina Shores responsible in any way.

(For example, getting a rash because you are allergic to Lavender and didn't know it, or falling in the tub because you weren't careful getting out after having a luxurious soak with a Coconut Lime Bath Bomb)

It is up to you to use your own personal digression when purchasing and using any handmade products. By purchasing any items from Patina Shores, you are fully aware of and agree to use products at your own discretion, and will take sole responsibility for incorrect use of information, adverse effects of products on your skin (allergies etc.), spoilage due to incorrect storage or contamination.

All of the products on this site are handmade and hand cut, therefore the exact colours may not be duplicated each time. Although the exact recipe is followed each time a product is made, products may look a little different than what is shown in pictures. Please be aware that some of the product weights may vary slightly from what is listed on the packaging and what is displayed in the product photos.

Due to the high volume of body butters and oils used in some of the products, such as Bath Bombs and In Shower Moisture Bars/Sugar Scrubs, your tub or shower might be slippery after use and you may notice a ring around the tub line when done. Simply wipe off with a damp cloth to prevent unnecessary falls and accidents.

All items are intended for topical use. As with all products that are intended for topical use, test a small area on your skin first to see if any allergic reactions or breakouts occur. If you have any problems or irritations, discontinue use immediately. All products are for external use only. Everyone has different allergies; by purchasing the items on this site, you accept full responsibility to check with a medical professional if needed before using any products that may interact with your body including allergies or unknown medical conditions. If you are pregnant, please contact your physician before using any of the products as it is uncertain how the ingredients may affect you. These ingredients include (but are not limited to) fragrances, essential oils, dried herbs, plant extracts and other natural botanicals, natural clays, natural exfoliates, natural butters, and carrier oils. Customers should purchase products with the clear understanding that all products must be used at the customers own discretion and only after referencing all relevant information specific to the product. Patina Shores shall not be held responsible for any damages to property or for any adverse physical effects caused by insufficient knowledge or the improper use of a product.

There are no guarantees of any kind on any of these items, nor is there any claim that any of these products have been FDA approved, and no medical claims of any kind are being made in regards to the use of herbs, salts, clays, etc. in any of the soaps, bath bombs or other items sold by Patina Shores. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any skin ailments or diseases or alter the skin in any way. These are all homemade products, therefore product descriptions and ingredient benefits are based on my own research (internet, books and encyclopedias) and are designed for educational purposes only. Please note; all instruments used in making these body products and packaging are sterilized, however, chemical preservatives are not used in these products and they are not as unsusceptible to bacterial growth as commercially manufactured products, which means they wont last as long as items with preservatives. Please take care not to leave your soap in standing water and avoid cross contaminating or exposing salves and lotions to water to prolong the life of your products, and to avoid mold and bacterial growth.

I try to use the very best ingredients at all times to produce the most gentle items I can to minimise skin irritation. Most supplies are purchased from the same company that supplies another very well known (and very pricy) company that makes fresh, handmade cosmetics, with their ingredients. They supply 100% pure, therapeutic-grade Essential Oils and Raw Materials.

All of this being said, I stand behind my work and products but everyone's skin is different, so please use your own discretion as with anything else.
